2026 Youth Missions Trip to Louisville, Kentucky
(Incoming 7th–12th graders)
June 20–27 — Total Cost: $680 per student
Why go on a missions trip?
Missions trips are a great way for students to disconnect from the online world and engage in a new community. Students will see God work directly through their service in the lives of others. They will be stretched outside their comfort zone, deepen their relationship with God, and build friendships and memories that are unforgettable.
What does travel look like?
We will leave Saturday morning and drive to a church in North Tennessee (specific church TBD). We will stay the night, attend their church service Sunday morning, and then continue to Louisville to arrive for dinner. On Friday, we will return to the same church in Tennessee, stay overnight, and leave early Saturday to arrive back home that evening.
Who is YouthWorks?
YouthWorks is a non-profit Christian organization that has been serving for over 30 years. They organize missions trips that share the love of Jesus with communities in need across the country.
What’s included in the cost?
The cost includes van rental, three meals a day (including travel meals), supplies for work projects, housing, and activities.
What projects will there be?
Students may serve in a variety of ways, including:
• Retirement homes
• Soup kitchens
• Community daycare programs
• Service projects (such as painting homes)
Will there be other churches?
Yes. Students will partner with 1–2 other youth groups from across the U.S. They will serve in mixed teams with one BBCC leader, 1–2 BBCC students, and students from other churches.
What does a typical day look like?
Students begin with a personal devotional, followed by breakfast. They will serve at work sites until around 3:00pm, with a lunch break on site. In the evening, students return for worship and a message led by YouthWorks staff, followed by a group activity (such as visiting the Kentucky Derby stadium) or games.
Where will they sleep?
Students will stay in a community center or church, sleeping on air mattresses or sleeping bags. Boys and girls will be housed separately. Chaperones will stay in the same rooms to ensure safety. Doors will be secured at night.
Additional Information:
• Trip is limited to 21 students with 5 chaperones
• $100 registration deposit required, with 3 additional payments
• Fundraising opportunities available; students may earn reimbursement toward their trip cost
